Come hang.

Mary and Laura are best friends for a reason.

Some of our shared interests:

  • weight training with Sydney Cummings Houdyshell

  • always somehow stumbling upon ladies’ drink free nights when we travel together

  • ALL styles of music, especially music that makes you want to dance

  • mom things

“When I was young, I used to love making quirky ‘movies’. Now I get to do that for a living.”

Laura is a mom of seven (yes you read that correctly) and wife to Jason.

I have always wanted to be a mom first and am living that dream alongside my secondary love of photography and videography. “When I was young, I used to love making quirky ‘movies’. Some of my feature films included horribly costumed interpretive dance videos, and ‘Toy Story 3’ (before they made a Toy Story 3) featuring my barbies and family dog, Ginger. Some of my best memories include creating these hilarious sequences on film with my sisters, and now today, I basically get to do that (sans horrible costumes and barbies) for a living.”

Some of Laura’s favorite things: Watching The Office or Expedition Unknown with Jason when the kids are all in bed, going to comedy shows and concerts, playing piano and singing with her dad and brother-in-law in their contemporary band at church, and road trips with the whole family.

“Life is too short to not be a little weird.”

Not nearly as jaw dropping as Laura, Mary is a mom to two handsome boys and a wife of almost 10 years to Troy.

It is weird to say that I may have manifested my life in 4th grade when I wrote, “When I grow up I wanted to be married with 2 kids, be a photographer, and live on the beach.” The only place I slipped up was the latter, because I am now confident in saying that the mountains call out to me more-so than the beach.

I like to think life is too short to not be a little weird and take some risks along the way. Calculated risks including, but not limited to: shark cage diving in South Africa, doing the Manitou Incline, and hiking Angels Landing.

Some of Mary’s favorite things: Taking road trips as a family to explore/hike national parks, going up north and disconnecting, teaching cycling classes, reading, and taking impromptu trips with Troy.
